This session is from a wee while ago, but I am trying to wade through my list of “sessions to blog” and thought I’d start here! It’s a very special session I was lucky enough to photograph for an incredibly dear friend and her family, flying from Adelaide over to Sydney to stay with them and capture some precious memories for them while I was there.
Nicole is an amazing photographer based in Wollongong – check out her business, Hush Photography!! We became friends many moons ago, and we talk at least 3 or 4 times a week, every week. Hers is a friendship I hold very dear, and so it was with the greatest of excitement that I was welcomed into their home at such an important time in their lives.
Noah is baby number four, and he was so tiny when he was born. I sat and marveled at how little he was as I cuddled him tight hehe! I have to say, all of Nicole and Bradley’s children are so beautiful – it was no wonder Noah was too! I loved that we were able to work together with the kids, and with Noah by himself, and that I could even sneakily take some photographs of Nicole simply “being Mum” as she cared for her newborn baby. Best of all, I loved being able to photograph Nicole with her baby as we do for our clients – as photographers we are rarely behind the camera, almost always missing out on creating special memories with ourselves in them. It’s an honour and privilege to do that for any photographer, and especially one that’s as good a friend as Nicole.
Nicole, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for the chance to work with you, and to photograph you too. Thank you for welcoming Peach and I into your home (as you always do), for your everlasting friendship and support (especially when I need it most…xx). You are an amazing friend, and an even more amazing Mother. Lots and lots of love to you all xx
One of my most favourite images of all time, it hangs in my studio as a huge canvas!
And another (LOL!)
